Sefton Park is the obvious treasure, moments away — 240 acres of open grass, a boating lake to circle and the famous Fairy Glen for a shaded wander, with plenty of room for a sociable group walk. Closer to home, the quiet Mersey shore and the station-side green at the foot of the Hamlet make for a calmer, contained stroll.
